Main Memory - Kinaesthetic Activity

Students move around the room representing the transfer of data between various storage locations and the processor.

Students are given numbered pages and are used to represent data/instructions within a computer and simulate how data is transferred between different storage locations such as RAM, Cache memory, Secondary Storage and the idea of virtual memory

Duration: can last about an hour, but it can be lengthened or shortened to fit the available time.

Teaches: (set of concepts learned) RAM, Cache Memory, Secondary Storage, Virtual Memory, Access times, Memory Capacity terms
