Quorum - an introductory programming language that can be used by blind students Scratch is not accessible to blind students. Quorum was invented to help introduce computer programming to blind students, as well as to students with other handicaps.

The academic rationals is based on considerations such as those reviewed in the following article on programming languages and learning. Quorum looks like an interesting language to introduce programming with. Thinking about developing computer programming skills in blind students a sensible approach might be to start off with Quorum programming and then to introduce Python programming.
