Illustrates how the selection sort algorithm works on a set of eight numbers, stepping through the algorithm line by line and animating the movement of the numbers. Video is hosted on YouTube.

This version only shows the movement of the numbers as they are sorted and is designed to be used before looking at the algorithm in detail. Video is hosted on YouTube.

The algorithm is presented in pseudocode/”almost Pascal” form. Use of the Play/Pause button allows in-depth examination and discussion.
