Level: Intermediate
Duration: 1-2 hours depending on the children’s confidence with a micro:bit.
Teaches: Pond ecology, micro:bit for physical computing, MakeCode editor for programming, sensing and control, feedback control systems, the need for calibration, simple circuits. Extension work - Ohm’s law and the potential divider circuit, the concept of hysteresis in control systems.
