Evening with Tech @ QUB is back and this year it’s going Virtual.
The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EEECS) at Queen’s University Belfast is delighted to announce that it will once again be hosting an Evening with Tech @ QUB on Thursday 26th November 2020 at 19:00.
Unlike previous years, this year the School will be hosting the event online. Queen’s will supply the tech, you supply the hot chocolate and mince pies.
An Evening with Tech is for anyone interested in tech including parents/guardians, aunts/uncles, brothers/sisters, grandparents of pupils as well as pupils who are interested in computing/tech and/or studying computing in school.
Technology impacts on every part of our daily lives at work as well as home and the aim of this event is to have an informal gathering as we approach the festive season to explore current consumer tech. It may be that attendees are interested to hear about what is going on in the tech sector or they are intending to purchase some tech over the festive season, which they would like to hear more about in advance of a purchase.
At this informal event, attendees will have the opportunity to hear about a range of tech from 3D printers, Drones, Virtual Reality headsets, Augmented Reality headsets, smart home technology, Raspberry-Pi and test of the latest computer games.
Throughout the evening attendees may view short talks on what is trending in consumer technology today as well as predictions for the future.
Tech Talks breakout sessions will be held throughout the evening, commencing at 19:00.
The School looks forward to welcoming you to its annual fun and festive Evening with Tech.
Don’t forget to get your festive jumpers out of storage to kick off the festive season.
Tickets are free for this event. However, numbers are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
