This 60 minute talk will explore the technology available to assist individual's living with a disability be able to participate in today's digital society. Some people are born with a disability, for others a disability develops over time, but for some people a disability arises from an unexpected life-changing event. The talk will explore how technology can provide practical assistance to individuals living with: Cognitive impairment Impaired physical coordination Visual impairment Impaired hearing Whilst some of the technology covered is leading edge, some of it is very much "old-school".
