A day of free hands-on primary CPD delivered by CAS, Barefoot and Code Club at The University of Manchester


Time Topic
09:30 - 10:30 CAS & NCCE – Hear from CAS’s National Community Manager, Beverly Clarke, on all that’s on offer from CAS and NCCE to support you teach computing.
10:30 - 12:00 Unplugged Computing – Barefoot’s Jon Chippindall will showcase a range of FREE resources for teaching computational thinking in KS 1 & 2.
12:00 - 12:45 Lunch
12:45 - 2:15 Plugged – Code Club’s Liz Smart will illustrate the link between computational thinking and coding by getting hands-on with MIT’s Scratch.
2:15 - Close Physical Computing – Spend the afternoon tinkering with a range of physical computing kit to explore how it can support you teach computing in your school.
