The CAS Assessment working group are volunteer CAS members who discuss, research and report on matters relating to assessment of computing from key stage 1 through to post-16.
The current focus is assessment of computing in key stage 3. Previous work included a primary focus, NEA review, supporting consultations.
The meeting on Monday 25th will be to review the areas of concern, challenge or opportunity for assessing computing, computer programming and computational thinking. The first meeting has already identified some themes:
• Inclusive practice in assessment
• Assessment for learning (good teaching)
• Assessment through teaching
• Feedback - online, paper-based or face-to-face
• Computational Thinking: algorithms.
Our input and discussions at the session will not be limited to those areas.
All attendees and other wg members will be able to contribute through a shared online document.
