This session is aimed at secondary teachers at various levels of ability and confidence in programming, from beginners to those with some experience. The focus will be on how to teach programming techniques using Python in both GCSE and A-Level and how to prepare students for exams. There will be hands on activities using Python you can take straight to the classroom and how to tackle Programming Project style assessment. The workshops will cover the following areas; GCSE • Iteration (Loops) • List/Array • File Handling • Procedure and Function • Tips for answering Algorithm exam style question (Flowchart and Pseudocode) A-Level • Introduction to OOP • Creating your own Data Structure • Tools to help with programming in A Level
