#exabits: Minecraft for GCSE Computer Science

Link: http://exa.foundation/events

Presenter: Alan O'Donohoe, exa.foundation

Aims: This morning CPD event is to provide a small group of teachers with a rare opportunity to observe a Computing lesson using text-based programming with Python and Minecraft and Raspberry Pi computers. Alan O'Donohoe will be teaching the class and modelling pair programming pedagogy.

The event is suitable for both non-specialist teachers and specialist teachers with a variety of experience, from those with little or no prior experience to those who are already teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Computer Science. If you teach in a primary setting you may still find this interesting as the approaches could be applied in a variety of settings.
