Aims: This event is to provide teachers with a day packed full of activity focusing on teaching & learning strategies as well as resources for teaching GCSE Computer Science through the medium of Minecraft Pi edition. The event is also suitable also for teachers of Key Stage 3 Computing. It will provide teachers with some tried & tested strategies to ensure successful outcomes for their students when tackling the programming, computational thinking and algorithms elements for GCSE as well as preparing for examinations. Attendees will be provided with some free resources that teachers can use straight away with their own classes the next day.

10:00 Classroom Based Activity: Teaching the basic concepts

12:00 Lunch Break

12:45 Classroom Based Activity: An extended project

15:00 Close
