Computing Subject Leaders: half day training - limited spaces

This half day session will be restricted to 5 delegates only to ensure maximum learning opportunity and that bespoke needs are addressed.

SESSION OVERVIEW

This course is essential for ICT/Computing subject leaders; providing guidance on creating whole school computing overviews, securing subject knowledge and improving planning and pedagogy in your computing curriculum.

There will be opportunities to analyse, improve and share planning, receive guidance on the latest pedagogy in teaching, learning and assessment, take part in a lesson observation taught by a Computing at School Master Teacher and take home planning and overview resources. This course will also cover more advanced programming  techniques and concepts including selection, sequence, repatition, decomposition, generalisation and abstraction. We will also be exploring the importance of the design stage within computing.

Book early to avoid disappointment.

Please also note that we also provide whole school INSET, staff meeting or twilight sessions at very reasonable rates.

SPEAKER

Phil Wickins

"Excellent delivery with practical and appropriate ideas to take straight back into the classroom."

"The training session was extremely fun to participate in, it allowed us to actually get engaged in our own learning and gave us a really good idea on how to start teaching pupils."

"...prior to arrival the session seemed daunting due to the 'technical' nature of the subject, but the trainer made the subject accessible and easy to understand."

All materials and resources used on this course will be made available to all delegates after the course.
