CAS East of England Regional conference - Cambridge

Thursday March 8th, 2018 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM

Hosted by CAS East of England at Microsoft Research

A day of CPD workshops to support the teaching of Computing in primary and secondary schools. The event will consist of four, hour long, slots, with one primary and one secondary session per slot. CAS Master Teachers, Hub Leaders, Regional Centre leads and University Academics will be presenting and the programme can be found here

For primary teachers, sessions include:

Computing pedagogy - smelly code with Scratch
Making the most of your micro:bits in Primary schools
Walking Barefoot through Primary School Computing

For secondary teachers, sessions include:

Engaging pupils through cross-curricular links and the micro:bit
Maths for A-level Computer Science
Finding the human solution to problems to aid programming
Effective assessment with Project Quantum

This is a free event. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Information related to parking and travel arrangements will also be released two weeks before the event.
