16:00-16:15         Introduction and Welcome  

Time to grab a tea, coffee (and a biscuit or two!) and have an update on hub activities locally

Hand out Quick Start Booklets

Mention next round of CAS Master Teacher applications open

BCS Certificate in Computer Science 

16:15:17.15           Speaker – Simon Howarth

Simon is the Curriculum leader in Computing at Rainford High. He is experienced in delivering OCR GCSE Computing, recently started OCR A level Computing, App Inventor, Python, VB, and is a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator. Simon has 10 years industry experience in programming. 

Simon will be covering a host of things including looking at KS3 Computing assessment and discussing how to mark the OCR KS4 controlled assessment tasks. 

17.15:17:20             Brief feedback from schools 

An opportunity for attendees to give brief update on progress with computing in their school – be prepared to talk for 1-2 minutes! 

17:20-17:30         Plans for future hub meetings and AOB

Discussion on future plans for hub meetings to meet local secondary needs. 

As ever, the rest of the agenda is up to you. Please feel free to contact me (either email below) and suggest items, especially any ideas for future meetings! There is plenty of parking in the UPPER school car park.
