KS1/2 Computing - Adapted Crazy Character activity from Barefoot resources

These resources were used in combination with the Barefoot “Crazy Character” resources with a local primary school and have been used to support primary teachers through Computing CPD.


**You might want to use the following resources:**

  • Worksheets for creating crazy characters (pupils sometimes work forwards or deconstruct their characters and complete the sheets backwards

  • Scratch starting program (sprites are provided) and help sheet for pupils to create an animation of their crazy characters.

  • Completed Scratch program to show an example of what their program might look like

  • A range of materials including:

    • Googly eyes
    • Cups
    • Craft feathers
    • Pompoms
    • Glue
    • Pipe cleaners

Level: Beginner

Time: 1-2hrs

Teaches: Algorithms, Abstraction, Decomposition and Evaluation
