A very simple program that emulates the Go Robot Mouse
This is fairly “babyish” stuff in that all it does is present the same functionality of the Go Robot Mouse on screen.
However it does seem to have got my youngest pupils excited about the possibility of transferring their toys from the real world to some sort of virtual environment while retaining the control they had over them.
This program is available for Macintosh (10.6 and higher), Windows (your mileage may vary), Linux (32-bit and 64-bit).
The program has been tested on Macintosh (Mac OS 10.7.5), Xubuntu 14.04 (32-bit) and Xubuntu 16.04 (64-bit): I am sorry if it crashes your rig, but will not be held responsible for it.
This program was made with LiveCode Community version (7.1.4) and is therefore Open Source: the stack from which the programs are compiled is therefore bundled into the ZIP file.
Please feel free to open the source file with Livecode both to muck around with it, and to use as a teaching aid for pupils to see how I did things.
