Wiltshire

The CAS Wiltshire Hub is based at CAS Central and oversees the other groups in Wiltshire.

In the north of the county there are the CAS Swindon Secondary Hub, run by Tom Campbell at Commonweal School and CAS Swindon Primary Hub run by Phil Anley from Bishopstone school.

In the South of Wiltshire there is CAS Salisbury Hub group, which offers support to Secondary and run by Alastair Barker. If CAS members from any other area of Wiltshire are interested in running a CAS Hub group from their school, please get in touch with me!

Mid Devon

CAS Mid-Devon

Alternative hubs can be found in Exeter, Plymouth, Axminster, Exmouth, Holsworthy, Torbay and of course Somerset. Exeter Central Library and Torbay Library regularly host Raspberry Pi meetings. Exeter also offers the Linux User Group. All thoroughly recommended.

West Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

CAS West Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

CAS West Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is run by Simon Elliott, Mounts Bay Academy in Penzance, part of the CAS Network of Excellence and an Apple Regional Training Centre, Regular, free training sessions are available covering KS1 to 4 Digital Literacy, Information technology and Computer Science topics. The Hub will focus on sharing the skills and knowledge that are already present in schools, to offer a supportive and collaborative community, with the aim of delivering a relevant and high quality curriculum in local schools.

CAS Swindon Primary hub group wants to attract all primary teachers in the Swindon area to share ideas on teaching computing concepts to KS1 and KS2 in a fun and enjoyable way! The meetings are a joint CAS/RIG event and are held at the offices of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, North Star House.

CAS Mid-Cornwall

The CAS Mid-Cornwall Hub group is for both primary and secondary teachers and is run by Lorraine Drybrough at Bodmin College. Everyone interested in introducing computing as a subject in the curriculum or those developing computing aspects of the Computer Science curriculum are welcome. The Hub will meet once per term in an informal setting to share skills, knowledge and resources in a collaborative network. The first hub launch meeting will be held on 16th September 2015.
